Amnesia Haze was bred in the 1990s in the Netherlands by Hy-Pro Seeds under the name "Amnesia" and has many nicknames. Whether you know it as the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze, Champagne Haze, The Bomb, Ultra Haze, or something else entirely – one thing everyone agrees on is the sheer potency of this sativa-dominant strain.

The biggest downside of sativa-dominant strains like Amnesia is the comparatively long flowering phase. On average, this is 11 - 12 weeks, with some phenotypes known for an incredible 20-week flowering period! For most growers, this is simply too long. Moreover, their plants can get quite large, which can be problematic, especially when growing in a confined space.

The solution is Amnesia Haze Automatic. It has the same euphoric effect and spicy sweet taste as the original Amnesia. Thanks to a shortened lifespan and much smaller plants, the autoflowering variety can be cultivated by both inexperienced growers and seasoned hemp agronomists.

The Largest Autoflowering Variety?

In a grow room, their plants have a lifespan of 80–85 days from seed to harvest. During this time, it produces quite large plants for an autoflowering variety, reaching a height of 50–100cm. This is a clear indication of its Sativa genetics - large plants, wide, thin leaves, and elongated buds.

Just like the original Amnesia Haze, Amnesia Haze Auto shows enormous growth vigor and produces decent yields of high-quality Haze buds. With an outdoor yield of up to 180g per plant, it's definitely one of the highest-yielding versions among autoflowering strains. In a grow room, up to 400g/m² can be achieved. Plants of this strain need plenty of food, but be careful not to overfeed them as Haze varieties are generally sensitive to nutrients.

The elongated, foxtail-like buds of Amnesia Haze Automatic exude an earthy aroma of citrus fruits that develops only when the buds are cured. All in all, it has the classic Amnesia aroma and the effect of the original, but is much easier to grow for the average hobbyist at home.
