Acne usually occurs more frequently during puberty due to the influence of androgens. But many adults also suffer from hyperactive sebaceous glands and thus from increased skin oil production (sebum). Due to the increased sebum flow, the skin not only becomes oily, but also the excretory ducts of the sebaceous glands (comedones) are narrowed or blocked - this leads to congestion, which causes blackheads to form (acne comedonica). The breakdown of skin fat produces free fatty acids that irritate the surrounding tissue, cause inflammation and affect the natural pH value of the skin surface. This makes impure skin particularly susceptible to bacterial infections - pimples, nodules (papules) or pustules can develop.

CBD for irritated, oily skin

CBD VITAL Clearifying Skin is a natural combination of cannabidiol (CBD) from hemp and various time-tested plant extracts in a pleasantly light texture. Cannabidiol (CBD) is used in many different ways. When used on problem skin, it reduces skin reactions by stabilising the skin's immune system. CBD has particularly great potential for impure skin, as it regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands and can thus solve the basic problem of oily, inflammation-prone skin. Cannabidiol is additionally known for its regenerative properties.

With 200 mg CBD, the serum contains a particularly high amount of activated cannabidiol. The positive properties of CBD are supported by many natural, cosmetic active ingredients such as aloe vera, Acnylis®, dog rose seed extract, dexpanthenol, Xymelis 45®, bisabolol, vitamin E, lavender oil and hyaluronic acid. CBD and the acylphloroglucinols from Acnylis® reduce the bacterial colonisation of certain germs (Propionibacterium acnes), thus removing the basis for inflammation from pimples and blemishes. Bisabolol, an ingredient from chamomile essential oil, ximenia bark extract (Xymelis 45®) and lavender oil have soothing and skin calming properties. Aloe vera and hyaluronic acid moisturise and, together with dexpanthenol, promote skin regeneration.

The synergistic combination acts on many different starting points and sustainably improves an impure skin appearance.
